The material

A finish you apply, not a panel you replace

Bodaq is a printed PVC sheet two tenths of a millimetre thick, with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on the reverse. The face is embossed, so a woodgrain carries the shallow texture of open pores and a linen carries a weave. Applied over an existing panel it reads as the material it imitates, which is why architectural film has largely replaced repainting in fit-outs where the substrate is sound but the finish is dated.

The adhesive face is cut with a fine grid of channels, so trapped air escapes as the film is squeegeed down instead of blistering. Elongation at break is 220% across the roll, which is what lets one piece wrap a bullnose, a column or a curved reception front without a seam.

What is Bodaq interior film?

Bodaq is an architectural interior film made by Hyundai L&C in South Korea: a 0.2 mm printed and embossed PVC sheet with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on the back, applied over an existing surface to change its appearance. It resurfaces partition walls, doors, casework, elevator cabs and furniture without removing the substrate underneath. Full explainer.

How many Bodaq patterns are there?

The 2026-2027 catalog runs to 468 patterns across 24 collections: woodgrain, marble and stone, metal, textile, leather, concrete and solid colour. Browse every pattern.

Which surfaces can it be applied to?

Sound, clean, dry, non-porous substrates: high-pressure laminate, melamine and painted MDF casework, sealed or primed drywall, metal door leaves and frames, glass and existing millwork. Preparation matters more than anything else; see the installation guide.

Are Bodaq patterns fire rated?

Yes, all of them. Every Bodaq interior film finish sold by Surface Supply passes ASTM E84 with a Class A result for US interior use, including the standard versions not marked flame-retardant in the Korean catalog. Results are also reported to CAN/ULC-S102 and DIN 4102-1. Test reports are issued per pattern series, so tell us the code and occupancy and Surface Supply will send the current report with the pattern-code mapping. Fire ratings explained.

How is it installed?

A dry, hand-applied process with ordinary tools: clean, cut oversize, peel the liner progressively and squeegee from the centre out so air escapes through the channels in the adhesive. Work between 12 and 38 °C. Step-by-step guide.
